The car scene in general has pretty much died, and its a real shame to see these forums have gone with it. I've been trying to go to meets and shows but they just aren't the same as they used to be. Especially in NJ, this area, as mentioned above is all about camber, wheels, air suspension, vinyl/plasti-dip and decals. If you don't autocross your stock car on coilovers, or drift your 240sx, there's no place for you and no one to talk to about real modifications and builds.
Bummer, but on the plus side I will say that I have picked up other new hobbies, such as photography ($$$). Now I drive a '16 Jetta GLI DSG, it's nice, but as everyone says, they don't make 'em like they used too!
