IMO Id just clean it real good with a can of brake clean and then get a Hydro Shield cover. You will never have to clean the filter itself again only quick hand wash the hydro shield. Best filter setup I have ever run by a long shot. I know any Pepboys with a speed shop has them right on the shelf along with eBay and Amazon.
