I intentionally use 2 vastly different monitors in sync next to one another. One to mimic the strong contrast, deep gamma viewing and another superflat low profile which I use for my waveforms/color scopes, and to give myself a really good look at what point I start actually crushing blacks when I move the image over as opposed to the high contrast displays which appear to clip blacks visually sooner than 255 in an 8 bit setting.
