 and yeah, im keenly aware that what is most important is to make sure that my profile and that of my printer is correct. i spent a whole weekend at their studio making sure my prints that i make and sell, were as close to my color profile as possible. so i went that route. but i simply cannot edit my stuff right now because im getting vastly different exposure, color, and contrast from one monitor to another. this is why i want to go dedicated and this way i know that its correct on my end. thats really all i can do. thanks for the recommendation but i really cannot justify spending  nearly a grand on a monitor. i also was not aware they made a 29" monitor.
