I'd go for the larger one. I want the ability to do more then 22lbs for parties. My friends have no problem killing a 10lb butt in no time.
I've also read a few places that its best to stay a little under the max limit of electric smokers as the heating elements will have to work OT with too much meat. I'm sure its more brand specific of an issue but either way I'd rather only need it running at 50% then 90%
