I want to get into Track Racing but some people have told me to get into autoX first? What do you guys think?

AutoX's are $50 and HPDE events are usually in the $200's. Most people your age can't afford to drop $200+ on a track day event more then maybe once a year. That doesn't leave a lot of time for "experience".
I'd stick with doing local autoX's as you start out Tyler. It's a lot of fun and it won't break your bank. You'll learn a lot about setting up your car, driving your car, and you'll meet tons of people with similar cars.
I just started a little over a year ago and love it so far. Give it a try!
