What was ultimately the problem with your engine? SO many variables need to be considered before blaming the tuner imo. Did you do a compression check prior to increasing output, test all sensors, check for bad gas, clogged injector, etc. A tuner would have to be completely inexperience or wreckless to blow an engine with the tune itself, its usually parts failure.
Owner of the car is responsible for making sure their car is ready for the tune. If the engines a fresh build check the blue print, engine builder.
With that said, stimikey has tuned MANY cars, specifically my buddies stock td04 wrx that went 12.6 (2 place record if I'm correct) and still running strong. Not sure if Mikey tuned your car but whoever did I imagine you went with someone who had experience with your specific model/mods and had success in the past.
