Actually, that wing is completely functional. The guy designed and built it himself to maximize his MPGs on that TDI Beetle. When I say maximize, we're talking 40-45MPG+. Some serious stuff.

Must be an auto TDi. still crazy gas mileage, but it does look funny.
My stepdad has a 99 mk4 golf tdi 5 speed BONE STOCK. Drove from Marlton, NJ to Gettysburg, PA, then BACK on a half tank. 52mpg the whole way with 3 people in the car.
