i love home ownership.
there is nothing better than walking about your house with the complete understanding that this is all yours (the banks) and that you can do whatever you want to it (after paying for permits and getting the ok)
you really don't have to answer to anyone, if something breaks you can take care of it, if you want to fix or replace something you can take care of it.
the people that lost money on their houses purchased something out of their price range and ****ed up, plain and simple.
do i want to be stuck in PA for 30 years? no... but i want to build a life in a house. I want a yard for my kid(s) to play in. I want a place that i can call my own. it's amazing.
and as insignificant and fleeting as it is... i own a little piece of this earth, this galaxy, this universe. at least until some aliens come down and blow our **** up to build a highway.
