Why can't we all be friends, having a religious debate? Debating and friendship are not mutually exclusive concepts. It's when insecure people start getting butthurt and emotional that civilized debates turn into pissing matches.
It seems like it's virtually impossible to have a debate with someone on teh internets without someone (or multiple someones) coming along and ruining it for everyone. Chill people.
