I get 18 in the 540 combined and 21 in the m3. I can't complain compared to the rv which gets a solid 7. And considering how I drive the M3 and the 540 I have a feeling a domestic would do a lot worse. My friend once owned an 04 STi. He managed to get 6 mpg one tank and near 30 mpg the next. Gotta love a car that lets you choose.
