There's not a whole lot to take pictures of. The 12 speakers are stock (plus the subs). The interesting part is that the original head unit connected to the amp in the trunk digitally. Inside that was 7 2 channel amps and a not so great DAC. Now I installed an aftermarket head unit, 4 pairs and RCA's back to the trunk, 4 channel amp and JL 250w mono amp. The mono amp connects to the subs, the 4 channel amp connects to 4 3 way passive crossovers which are tapped into the dsp amp wiring. It's rather messy looking behind the scenes but the crossovers mounting doesn't look horrendous.
But it sounds ****ing amazing.. and that's all I really care about... especially female vocals sound ridiculous, like you're there. BMW for whatever reason always used really great speakers in their top hifi systems mated to ****ty amps and processors. Replace the amp and head unit and you have an amazing system.
The subs are some nice kicker solobaric 12's that were in a really terrible box that was way too small. I got a proper box that matched the volumetric requirements of the subs and they reallllllly perform now...
