so i decided to build a new AK, this one will be "period correct" with minor subtle updates... so far I have ordered a texas weapons systems Gen 2 dogleg scope mount which replaces the dust cover and give me a rail to mount an optic on. I also got their rear peep site (if you have ever shot an AK than you know the rear site is absolute garbage) I also ordered a Kobra red dot (this is a russian made holo. site with multiple reticles, they are getting REALLY hard to find and i found it in Cali of all places haha) I have an aimpoint on the underfolder and really wanted to keep this one "authentic"... OEM plus if you will. I also ordered a tritium front site (this should make a world of difference) and lastly a G2 trigger!

I am also talking to a guy out west who gets brand new "still in the russian grease" furniture about sourcing me a full mint laminate wood set in russian red, so we will see how that goes. Worst comes to worst I will just re-finish the furniture that is on it or use some of the re-finished wood I have laying around from when I put rails on the draco and underfolder.

I am really pumped for this build and when its done she should be pretty effing sweet... an AK that looks like its from the 80's but functions like its from 2011, im already sold!
