You think youll want to die before you reach that age, but thats only because you're young and immature. Talk to me when youre 70. I highly doubt youll be a suicidal 70 year old. You wouldnt want to live that long because you perceive life as all of the things that you can do, but a 70 yr old cant. But chances are the things in life that a 70yr old values the most arent what you value in your life. Just because theyre not physically able to do things that you can doesnt mean that life cant be just as fulfilling, and to insinuate that being old means you cant have a fulfilling life is simply retarded. The things they value most in their lives are most likely things that you havent even begun to appreciate at the ripe old age of, what, 24? Theres so much more to life than just what you can physically do. Maybe youre not into "life" as much as I am, but personally, I value every minute I have of it. People's lives are cut short every day unexpectedly. If I can make it to 70 years old, Id be psyched that I was fortunate enough to experience that much life. Growing old isnt a bad thing. Where your body shows its age, your mind picks up the slack. Wisdom comes with age, and I cant wait to be as wise as my grandparents.
