I've heard that if you have a note from a Dr. (a legal or official one of course) that you are able to have your windows tinted to a certain percentage? If so, does it have to be in a certain format?

Reason I'm asking is because I spent two tours in Iraq where my eyes were damaged by the harsh sun light out there and it has been documented in my medical record. I have already tinted my windows but I'd like to see if I can keep them that way and be in the clear.
