Miracle grow is wonderful. Just get a bag of that then put the ivy cuttings in a pot that is relative to the size of the plant itself. (Don't go too big, otherwise the plant could die.) After you plant the trimmings, press down on the soil around the plant then put more loose soil on top of that. Water heavily when you are done potting then put the plants in an area of the room where they can get a lot of sun. Water every other day, just not as heavily.
