Putting something with gasoline-like consistency in my oil isn't something I can push myself to do. Half through the intake, half in the fuel tank is how I prefer it. The amount of smoke is dependent on how much product is ingested, not the amount of deposit being cleaned. I do believe the color of the smoke is affected by the condition of the engine though.
