She got pre-approved for the loan a month ago. Then started looking. Found one that was about 10 hours away. Had the dealer snap about 50 picks of the car, a video of it startinf, running, WOT, ect. Got a GMVIS report(all maintance done by GM, ect.) Its an 08 HHR SS wtih 11k miles. Perfect condition. Told them if they would ship the car we would buy. The had no problem driving the car to us for an extra $200. The drove it here on Satuday, we took it for a quick drive and doulbe checked it, so we signed the check and title. The guy said it was an 11 hour drive but the dealer was paying them $10 an hour + food and lodging. We grilled some burgers for the guy when he got here so he could take a break and all while we did a once over on the car.
The only reason we were willing to virtually buy the car site unseen, is because the car was bought new at the dealer, and all maintance was done there. They had the receipts, 2 full lets of keys, and books for the car. Plus the car was 1 of 177 made in the color so choices were really limited being that it was an auto so it was maybe 1 in 50?
