NJ Stickers with Provisional license. need answers.
So apparently this whole sticker thing came about in rumors and i've only heard it around, everyone had been talking about it. I'm looking for answers and hopefully there is someone on here who knows the laws and rules of it. If you don't know what i'm talking about, this is what I'VE heard.. For people with a provisional license who are under 21 as of yesterday(April 30th) needed to get a sticker to have on their car or any car they drive, while driving. You need the sticker until you turn 21 and i'm assuming, obviously, there is a fine if you don't have it.
What I don't understand is 1) Why do we need this at all, what have been such serious problems in the past that we need a sticker just to tell cops we aren't 21. 2) How come my friend who turned 18 last week doesn't need one, yet someone who turned 18 this week does. 3) Is my curfew really 11 PM until I turn 21?
If this was such a serious matter, NJ motor vehicle commission sure isn't treating it like one. I've only heard about this from word of mouth, nothing from them. And since i've only heard from word of mouth, it's possible everything I stated up there isn't even true. Hopefully someone can fully inform me about this, Thanks
