You should be able to schedule a consultation visit. Just stopping in trying to talk to the actual artist might be tough, especially if they are a busy shop. Call ahead schedule a consultation. Bring your ideas, pictures, and anything else that will relate to the tattoo. The other thing you might want to bring are pictures from the artist’s portfolio that made you choose them for your tattoo. That will help the artist figure out exactly what you want. The other thing you want to check is how to bring your pictures and ideas to the visit. Some shops have computers, some don’t, some artists are more familiar with certain formats so ask about the format they work with in the shop. Hopefully that helps.
