The only reason a private station would drive your car is for a brake test. And if the lot is big enough they don't even have to leave.

The monitors also don't have to be made ready by the shop. They go ready once until there is a fault or they are cleared. And they can go ready after 2 good cold drive cycles and driving around town and a few shots up the highway.

If your light hasn't been on and you haven't cleared your ECM or had the battery die, then im sure the monitorsa are ready. I am a licensed inspector near Wildwood if ya wanna make the trip.
