Angdefeo, you can't really tell if the PO warmed the engine up or not. Best thing to do when buying a used car is to do a leak down test. It will tell you a lot.
^this.. I notice in my m3 that even after the coolant temp is in the middle the engine is still a little "tight". Give it another couple miles and things start to improve. I do wish I had an oil temp gauge. Maybe it's all in my head.
