also thats what i heard also bryan when it came to the 720 vs 1080 as far as the size of the tv. I didnt think it made a difference until you were over a 40" screen.
And yeah. Im not ready to buy tomorrow but am just going different places to look at tvs. Going to world wide will benefit me greatly because i know first hand (used to work there) that all of their tvs are hooked up the right way so i'll be able to see differences unlike a place like walmart that just splits the output to all the tvs and it looks like crap no matter what haha.

if i were you - get the biggest screen you can afford.
120 hz or not is pointless in lcd- i don't care for it.
I just saw on slickdeals a 1080p 40" sony lcd for 499! be on the look out for deals ONLINE b/c you usually don't have to pay tax!
size AND distance to screen matter for 720 vs 1080p but I will tell you I can barely notice a difference in highly encoded 720p vs true 1080p and i'm watching stuff on a 92" screen with an 1080p projector from about 16 feet away. I also play my xbox on this screen too. I play MW2 on a 92" screen and i still suck
