Test drive both.
Find out insurance difference. At 24, the Evo will be more expensive to insure almost guaranteed.
Figure out what you'd like to do with the car. Everyone mentions the Evo's power potential, but the car will outhandle the 135i with ease.
Do you plan on DDing the car through the winter? The 135i won't be the best for that.
How important is the interior to you? The X's isn't shabby in MR form.
Will you own the car outside of warranty? Parts and maintenance will be cheaper on the Evo by a good margin.
Do you plan on modding at all? The BMW can run 11's with light work but it's not cheap plus like with the Mitsu, your warranty goes bye bye once you do. (Magnusson-Moss Act notwithstanding).
OR you've already made up your mind in which case sign the check.
