unless the ecu has the logic to advance timing and pull fuel for higher octane, you will see no benefit in running a higher octane than what is recommended by the manufacturer.
i'll take a guess that in 2010, a (gulp) sportscar that the mustang is, the ecu will be advanced enough to have that logic, but without it you'd just be pissing your money away on extra octane that isn't doing anything for the engine performance.
