ha.

Boss calls the phone at my desk about...a little over an hour ago....story follows:

Boss: Hey, I need an RO.
Me: Ok, what's the vin
Boss: Last 6 of 8 of the vin?
Me: 6 works
Boss: 030175
Me: RO number?
Boss: 22440
Me: k *click*

Spent 25 minutes looking, first in the already filed ROs, this RO doesnt even have a file jacket so it's either a newer customer or a new car altogether. Go through my 12 different stacks of "to be filed" RO's that are in numerical order by VIN and ready to be put away. Can't find the damn thing, so I call back

Me: What's the make and model of the car?
Boss: ummm....09 Passat
Me: Was it sold here?
Boss: Yeah, it's still our car, on the lot. Don't tell me you can't find it.
Me: I'm not seeing it, but I'll double check the PDIs
Boss: Ugh, ok, just find it.
Me: Gotcha *click*

Would have been GREAT info to hear the first time. He calls again and asks if I found it yet or what, I say I'm workin on it...so I go to the PDI RO's to look for it, its about a foot tall stack of new cars that have come through the dealership in the last 3 months. Also in numerical order by VIN, no luck, not there.

So this time I walk out to his office with the vin and RO written on a note pad, and go:

Me: I can't find this RO, it's either non-existent or it's not back there.
Boss: *looks at pad* Oh...haha, yeah I know where this is.
Me: *unamused*
Boss: It didn't go through yet, BC still needs to approve something on it.
Me: I'm telling you now, if I can't find it, it's not back there.

I want to punch someone and get my hour back.
