No way! If your 16 year old child murders someone, should the parents be responsible? At the age kids skip school, they damn right know whats right from wrong. I think the best thing done to stop skipping is what schools are doing now. If you miss 20 or more days, you automatically fail the grade, and have to repeat. In middle school and high school, I was averaging 31-34 days absent. My senior year of high school, they implemented the 20 day rule, and I missed 19. No way in hell am I repeating a grade so that I can have a day of being nonproductive.
