+1 i mean i still have my first car... got it when i was 13 and have been building it since. its my daily and i do all the maitanence work on it and the engine mods. but ill tell you with still having probly less than 200hp/trq its plenty of power.
but since i built my car i baby it to the MAX!!
o and hey even with my stock 1987 BMW with fresh paint and some stereo i stil was one of teh most recognized cars, because they know i did the work and i pay for it.
so my advice is buy a beeter so you can save a few more bucks and when your ready you can but taht same car for a little less and put even more mods on it with that extra cash you saved. or just buy a house
