The truck just seems to have a major identity crisis. The Dodge bed is breaking my heart. I'd have no problem seeing a F1 or some other Ford bed on the truck, but a different make cab and bed is crossing some god forsaken lines. This is also where I'm getting the identity crisis; kustoms, billet/rat rods, etc. is all fine and dandy to have different make parts all over the car to complete it. Hot rods/traditionals on the other hand either try to stay as close to production line state as possible, or are customized but only using vehicle specific parts. The truck looks to have virtually all of the right parts to be classified perfectly as a hot rod, but then decided to go kustom and have a Dodge bed.
Bleh, sorry, long random rant.
Also, really don't like finished/painted interior while the exterior has a flat/primer look. Again, goes along with the theme of identity crisis. I was at first thinking that it may still be awaiting paint but after seeing a painted grill, how clean the finish is, and the interior-- I'm assuming the owner is calling this truck complete.
Final thing which is just a pet peeve, I really don't like/get/understand having lake style headers just to have it delete and exit on the side (not even under axle). I love lake style headers, and with deletes or flanged for exhausts is super cool too. I don't merely understand though why you would delete it only to have it exit a few feet later on the side anyway.
All in all, I really like this truck. I know I sound like I'm attacking it a lot more than loving it but it is only because that is with me knit-picking everything I can muster up that I don't like. It's hard to do one of these right and he's super close to perfect, and I would love to see it perfect. The chop is so clean all the way up to the rain gutters it's awesome, the frame, notch for lake pipe, and filler neck mounting is beautiful. It just almost looks like the owner got frustrated part searching and decided to use the first bed he found, and stumbled upon the complete dash and tossed it in.
Sorry for that mindless rambling, I absolutely adore these things.
