If she's unconscious she may still be aware of what is going on. If she's not aware though (not sure if theres any way to tell this) then the only reasons to go would be for yourself, or to support your family. You'd obviously not be going for yourself since you'd prefer not to, but if its something thats important to your family, even if its just to be supportive of them, then maybe its something to think about. Everyone deals with this stuff in their own way, some like to distance themselves, some like to be with loved ones, etc etc.
