Think of it like this: Anything and everything.

If it's your first time especially, you want to ensure you check over all of your fluids, and be sure to bring some extra of each. Another thing to look at are your brake pads...if you generic/oe replacment/ebc green stuff style pads, you are going to use A LOT of material. I would go as far as to say that you want at least 6/32 to 7/32 material left...and even that may be stretching it depending on the pad (what I'm getting at, is that you'll probably need to replace pads by the end of a day, unless they are brand new to start, or a track pad.

Take the time to jack you car up, and inspect everything. Make sure all rod ends and joints are solid, and that everything looks in perfect shape. Also ensure that your cv axles are in good shape if FWD (i'd assume so by your username) as well.

Lastly, you'll want to get your ENTIRE car of anything extra...floor mats, cd cases, empty the door pockets, seat pockets, center console, glovebox...because they're gonn make you remove it all. The only stuff you want in the car, is your helmet, your tools, spare parts/fluids, a pen, and a folding chair if you have one. Nothing else. Once you get to the track, obviously take that all out, and get your spare tire out as well, unless it's secure.

Aside from that, listen to your instructors, keep focused, and be safe. It's easy to get frustrated, while at the same time easy to get mad as well...remember, while you may be 'racing' in yoru head, it's only an HPDE...so there is no reason to risk yourself/car/other people by doing anything extravagant. Again, listen to instructors and take their advice...they are the PROs...

Like Jay Leno recently said, 'All Men think they are experts at two things...sex, and driving a race car....yet most men don't have much experience with either' hehe.

It would be neat to see that car on this course, simply because of the size. Great chance for him to get some time.
