I've *knock on wood* never gotten poison ivy.
But when I get bit by a mosquito it swells to the point where it's about the size of a golf ball cut in half.
When I got bit by a spider, my entire leg was swollen.
I get hives on my waist, arm pit areas, and shoulders for absolutely no reason (and from shellfish) that last for hours and hours and hours and span my entire body.
I think it all evens out.
