I use mothers top coat instead of a spray wax if I want the car to shine like the sun. Takes just a bit more time to apply but comes off very easy. Easier to use then some spray waxes(ie Griots)
Oh do you have any tips for metal work? getting my car back after 2 years of it being off the road(its filthy inside). Has aluminum floor boards with alot of scratches. I bought a griots mini polisher for doing this area along with several brands of metal polish.

Good move on the separate mits! As far as the metal polishing, depending on what brands of polish you have and what pads you have there are a variety of techniques to use. Let me know specifically what you have!

My truck is looking rather dirty at the moment. It hasn't been washed in a couple months. I know I'm going to need to clay bar it. Do you recommend doing it before washing it or after?
I also need to detail my interior. Like wiping down the dash boards, vacuuming out the carpets, wiping down the door panels. I have heard people say that Armor All was good for it, and other people say that it can make it so shiny, that it will cause sun glare on your windshield when driving on a nice sunny day. Which is correct, and whats the best thing to use for cleaning your dash board?

Clay bar the vehicle AFTER a through wash, and use a spray wax or a clay lube as lubricant for the clay. Armorall is a brand to stay away from, it's products are known for drying out the material it's applied to and WAY too shiny. I recommend Mequiar's Interior Detailer, gives interior panels and dash boards a clean "new" look with more of a matte finish.
