From experience, the 'burbs are a lot more expensive. It's easier to get away with stuff in the city(getting free internet through wifi, etc). As for electric, I used to run my computer all day long and leave my A/C on all day and that's how much I got charged. Right now I'm living in a big ass house in the suburbs and the electric isn't bad. The bad part is the natural gas for heating during the winter, which would come close to $600 a month for 2 stories and about 5 bedrooms.
