Ok update time...
I recently revisited the car with a friend who's been in the auto body collision field for about 30 years and a subaru master tech...
Neither of which could figure why it was totaled... as neither could I....
Aside from the sheetmetal damage which is obvious... ie hood, fender bumper...
the only other things that appear damaged is the Lower control arm on that side, and the power steering resivor... the collision narrowly missed the fuel distribution unit... I mean narrowly.. it grazed a few on the lines that come out of the top of it...
Now, we factored all this in, and we came to the only logical conclusion we could think of... The insurance Company totalled it because they know they can get a pretty penny for it...
Which is simply not gonna happen... I'm not lettin her go out like that without puttin up one helluva fight...
Nor am I givin up that easy...
