no, instructors arent required. this vid was my first time at an autoX, and I forgot to grab one for my first run lol

I've heard all the talk about how much you can learn from riding with one, so I grabbed one for the second run ...and honestly, he didn't teach me anything I didn't already know. Ofcourse my lines could have been a little better, but its not like I had the course memorized from a walkthrough... and ofcourse i could have kept the back end in a little more, but with the welded, giving it a little drift helps to overcome understeer and get the car to rotate...

Besides the few things I mentioned earlier, you just have to have all loose items taken out of the car, even floor mats, and you have to write your number on the side of your car somehow lol


... I dont know if ill be going back anytime soon, but maybe. I dont make enough money to spend $50 on 3 runs through a parking lot too often. It was definitely fun, and id love to do it all the time, just not enough seat time for the moola
