Seems like the author didn't get it right starting off, in the first paragraph!

He must've been asleep in the 90's, that's when V8's plunged. Fast forward to 2000 and up, Nissan and Toyota have full size V8 pickups, like someone mentioned, dodge put a their new V8 in almost everything they could. Mercedes loves their 5.4L sohc and put that in almost everything. A slew of exotics use V8's now.

The only real change now is that there are more V8's getting turbos and s/c put on by the factory.
