i'd say not as many cars will even be considered by automakers to be V8 powered, but the V8 will never totally die. Muscle oriented cars will always have to have a V8 option of some sort. Example is the twin turbo V6 Ford is trying to replace the mustang V8 with down the road. if Ford doesn't offer any V8 option along side it, they are shooting themselves in the foot.
