so I am in the process of planning a trip for my girlfriend and I to amsterdam at the end of november for her birthday and would like a little information from anyone that has ever been there.

I have been all over europe multiple times but never got to go to the Netherlands and figure what better time than now! If anyone has been there, can you suggest a good place to stay (I was looking at hotels, but renting an apartment seems to be cheaper/nicer.) I am also looking for fun attractions and good places to eat/visit.

Any help would be much appreciated!
