TriStateTuners.com was started one year ago today, on Dec 22nd, 2004.
The forum was started because I was fortunate enough to be a part of a great local forum when I was away at school in Colorado, and when I came home I missed it. We had a small local scene going on here, but I wanted to really organize things and get everyone together for some kickass events, to trade information, make new friends, and just waste some time. Coincidence or maybe not, after the forum was created the local meets grew a lot, and things just went from there.
Before TST.com was created I couldnt have possibly imagined what the past year would have involved. This forum takes a LOT of time and effort, and I absolutely love [hate] it. Yeah I'd definitely describe it as a love/hate kind of thing. I'd also go as far as saying its probably the biggest reason I'm still waiting tables instead of scoring a real job. Anyways, enough about the boring forum owner...
TriStateTuners.com would be nothing without the great member base it has acquired in the past year. Its great to see so many people take so much pride in the group they are a part of. Its not common to have a forum with a friendly helpful atmosphere, but its awfully refreshing, isnt it?
Gotta give a shout out to Pete (teh dirt) who has been my right hand man since the start. We combined our ideas to create the forum and make it what is is today. He's a damn nice guy and you should introduce yourself and shake his hand the next time you see him. Also consider handing him $5 to go towards his engine swap

And also thanks to the rest of the mods who try to help me keep my sanity. Believe me when I say its not all fun and games. It can be incredibly rewarding, but please give a big thumbs up to all the mods on here.
Hopefully this is a nice reminder of where we've come from for those who have been here since the beginning, and its a nice history lesson for our newer members. Here's to another year or ten.
