yeah a dog box has no purpose on the street, ask Jourdan. Hes managed to break one already.
With a subie, you have three options all depending on the cash you want to dump.
1. Most likely the cheapest, 5 speed RA gearbox
2. a STi 6mt... but it needs alot of stuff to go with it
3. a built 5mt with PPGs or a combo of PPGs, Helicals, and or RA gears. (more favortable to some people because its a little more plug and play than the 6MT.
