Find out what type of aluminum the 6UL are made of in addition to their heat treat process. It is possible that the wheels could be heat treated again without reducing the tensile strength.
Aluminum 6061-T6, which is the most commonly used aluminum for forged wheels. The aluminum is initially aged at 320 deg F to give the alloy it's strength. Heating it at anything above the original 320 deg F will continue the aging process. Continual aging will improve the strength of the alloy but only to a certain point.
