big mistake...
the best photos are the ones that come good straight out of the camera... no photoshop or photo editing program can rectify a shot with bad composition...
take the advice already given and get to know your camera... HDR is something to play with as you begin some experience... I have been shooting for several years and I still haven't tried HDR as it doesnt apply to sports photography and macro as well as it does to car photography.
get to know the camera.... white balance, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, depth of field... and so on...
