That looks to me like too much timing advance... If it were an oiling issue, you wouldnt see a whole in the top side of the piston, You would see the rings melted flush with the skirt. If it were a LEAN issue, you would see a whole burned into the top of the piston.

My piston rings were gapped too large at .035 instead of the usual .019....It obviously burned mass amounts of oil and blew the dipstick out all the time, but took its beatings like a champ untill the day I put it down
