Did you hold down both buttons for ATLEAST 10 seconds? That's how a hard reset is done on it. It should work. If not...you may need to wait till it dies to see if you can get into it. If that doesn't work...you might need to send it in for service. What caused the problem originally? Was it plug into something then disconnected?
