I had a great set-up with DirectTv but dumped it for the ease of wiring the rest of the house with regular cable. Kinda wish I didn't. For overall channel choice, DTV is hard to beat, especially if you load up on all the packages. 2 years ago it was significantly cheaper than a comproably equiped Comcast package, but I couldn't comment today.

Best set-up IMO, and one I'm going back to, is to have cable thru out the house, and both cable and satelite on main TV or HD units. Best of both worlds, especially with HD since Comcast HD is considered a better signal.

Hugh drawback of DirectTv only is no Comcast Sports channels. Can't get it on DTV, and that means saying goodbye to 80% of Sixers,Flyers and Phillies games.
