well i only clicked on the first link you posted which addressed the use of IM abbreviations. I'm ok with those as long as they are used in conjunction with proper sentence structure, punctuation, etc. It bothers me more to see improper grammar, ridiculous spelling errors, and words flat out used incorrectly than to see abbreviations being used. and just because they're stickied does not mean that everyone is going to take the time to read the sticky, and then put what they've read into practice. I think infraction points for incoherent babble would be much more effective than a sticky.
