If there is not a warranty on the paint there is still a good chance the dealer will make it right for you if you make a big enough stink about it. How long ago did you buy the subaru and did you receive a Survey in the mail asking about your experience there. If so don't send the survey in until you have spoken with them, dealerships will be more inclined to give you what you want if they know the survey hasn't come in yet. Dealers are paid on customer satisfaction from the manufacturer so a real bad survey can cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars. Use that as a barganing point.
