Military personnel are regular people that are then trained to preform at equal levels. Saddly they are essentially pawns.

granted, a greater portion of our armed forces would otherwise be a waste of the air they breath had they not enlisted... that is not to take away from the fact that they do put their lives in danger when sent to the battlefield. I realize they get a bonus for being stationed in a more dangerous area... but i think that should be increased.
The military pays extremely well for those that excel and push themselves to better themselves. They reward excellence and a life long commitment. But for someone that goes in for 2-4 years and comes out the same person they were when they went in... they ain't worth much.
