93 dodge stealth twin turbo: priceless!
alright, seriously not priceless but still pretty pleased with the whole situation
found the car on craigslist, got into negotiations last week and purchased it this morning. kid i purchased it from stated he purchased the vehicle with bad compression on 2 out of 3 cylinders on the front bank. he broke down the motor, put main bearings and rings in it and rebuilt. states the timing is good and vehicle has spark and fuel but does not run. timing on front bank appears good but i didn't dig into it
at all yet.
i'm thinking when he did the timing on it he didn't set the crankshaft position sensor plate behind the crank sprocket, but i'll know more as i dig into it over the next week or so. so many possibilities...
at any rate, car is missing ac compressor, alternator, ps pump and intake box. paint is pretty thrashed on the front bumper, hood and rear gate and the rear quarters are both dented. many things are disconnected, including hydraulic clutch line, exhaust, intercooler piping and sensors but everything else appears present, trans went into every gear and interior is ok.
i basically purchased it to use as a parts car donor for my other 93. the "bottom end rebuild" makes me a little leery of getting this one running and i am going to need parts for my classic stealth over the next couple decades as parts become more and more rare... altho it may only be a grand or less in parts to get this one running, including me rebuilding the bottom end i just don't see it being worthwhile, and as i said i'm going to need a parts car...
well on to the pictures
